A Polish buck with Himalayan markings, usually referred to as a Himpole. I have a siamese sable doe bred from a himpole doe and I am hoping to use this buck to breed some himpoles. Polish are not the easiest of rabbits to breed. We have found that once a doe is mated, you cannot move her to a different hutch as she will scatter her litter when she kindles. Also, in my experience,  it is rare that a Polish doe will raise her first litter. They can be an extremely frustrating breed to keep! I wouldn't be without the Polish now and would love to keep them in more colours if we had the space.

This is my stud buck who has done well on the show table for me. His legs should be darker in colour, matching his ears and smut but my does all have good colour so hopefully between them we can improve on the colour.

It has took me three years to breed my first litter of himpoles!! This is a little doe, only five weeks old in the photo but you can see the natural pose already. They are born white and the colour gradually comes in on the nose, ears, tail, feet and up the legs. The colour  darkens as they gets older and it is fascinating to watch them change.  She is now an adult and is mated so to the above buck so fingers crossed we have more himpoles in the near future.

We have now added blue eyes whites to the stud of Polish thanks to Ray Carter. He kindly started us up with a young doe and an excellent stud buck! Once the young doe is mature she will be mated with the buck in the photo. The blue eyed whites have a softer coat than the red eye whites so we will be working to improve the coat. We do already have a blue eye white carrier doe from Michelle Collier  who has a great coat so hopefully we are on the right track. Our blue eye white doe has a litter of three and the carrier doe also has a litter of three. We have had the bew's out and about at shows and so far have had quite a bit of success with them.

We have had the bew's out and about at shows and so far have had quite a bit of success with them. Here is our stud buck at a local show.

We have now added a few new colours to the stud, and will up date with some photos shortly.
